Day 29 2-29 LEAP

Day 29 Wed.

  1. Show me Depth of Field Rolls for 25 pts.
  2. If you did not reel yesterday, and there are tanks available, reel your film.
  3. Try to fit 2 rolls in each tank, so partner up.
  4. Develop film if there is at least 25 minutes left in the period.
  5. Make sure to clean up. Anything left behind will result in everyone developing that day receiving a 0/5 for participation that day.
  6. If you have nothing to do, you are making a test strip & print from the in-class partner negatives.
  7. Tomorrow, new project: Point of View
  8. Monday, March 5 is the end of the 6week grading period. All missing work will no longer be accepted. "mi" will be a permanent "0"

I will check depth of field rolls tomorrow when I return. (25 pts.)

Chapter 4 & 5 Quiz (30 Questions, Scantron)
  • Move desks to face white board, no neighbors
  • #2 pencil
If you finish the Quiz and there is at least 20 minutes left...
  • You may reel your film.
  • Try to have a partner, so 2 rolls of film will fit in one tank.
  • Make sure to close tank tightly before exiting the dark room.
  • Label the tank with your name(s) and period.
  • Place tank on your period's shelf in the blue cabinet.

    Pick a Negative that has (good exposure, in focus, interesting composition, ideal contrast)

  1. How to make a proofsheet handout.
  • Proofsheet Stations: Enlarger 25 & 26 only
  • 4 stops down for 5 seconds
  • Lift glass, place paper (shiny side up), then print file (with negatives, shiny side up)
  • Each Partner will do their own strips of 5 on a sheet of 5 x7  
     2. Photograms in the Darkroom: Last Call is 10 min. before bell-NO LATE PASSES
  • Modifications to Photogram Handout (4 f-stops down, 5 seconds, 30 height)
  • Make at least 2, no more than 4: you will turn in your best 2 DRY on Friday beginning of the period

  • Objects of various shapes & sizes (5x7 paper)
  • Various opacities (opaque, clear, transluscent)
  • Have a theme (cheap jewelry, music, hair accesories, action figures, tools, etc.)
  • No "objects that happen to be in my backpack/pocket theme"
